Good fun!
Willow is what B-movies are at their best. A fun crazy plot that is more believable then most, fun characters, and a lot of heart. A real classic and highly recommended for people who love a good adventure story. Val Kilmer is great as ...

Willow Quick Review
The only thing I remember is that "you are great!" I still think the same today. I would love to see it again on DVD or something. A classic fantasy that children of today should definitely check out - heck even adults.

Willow Quick Review
I watched this movie for the first time when I was about 8 or 9. So, I didn't understand a lot of the jokes made around Val Kilmer's character taking care of a baby. But, I thought it was great then, and I still think it's great.

Willow Quick Review
Kilmer is great as the unlikely hero. Lots of great fantasy, magical creatures, danger and fun.

Willow Quick Review
Lots of magic, adventures and fun. Val Kilmer's character, Madmartigan, brings together the movie with some humor and good acting. Even though I enjoy it still, it is a bit dated and dull for me at times.

Willow Quick Review
Although the fantasy/magic crown has been passed to bigger and bolder films, Willow will always remain one of my favorites. It veers a little more towards the younger set, but it should hold adult attentions as well.

An international order which arrived way before estimated date. Excellent condition and quality even though second hand. Very happy with it. Thank you

Willow, Fantasy film done right..
by Styles (Las Vegas, NV)
The first film I remeber Val Kilmer in and he was cast just right. A scoundrel gone right type of deal.. It works good for his style of acting.
There's something for everyone in this movie, brownies for the kids, a few good guy fights with humor, as well as some romance for the ladies..

Fascinating!
by Sharon Preiss (Phoenix, Az, USA)
This film is enchanting. A true classic for its genre, it follows the story of a dwarf named 'Willow' after finding a baby floating down river. Each character in the story is fun to watch, the dialog is excellent and the effects are decent as well. The film is a bit goofy but the dark backdrop made it all the more interesting. From beginning to end, you'll want to stay in your seat as the comedy, drama, and action are all well worth watching. This is an older fantasy film, but definitely worth being in anyone's collection.

This one is obviously for the young. But Kilmer and Whalley both do a good job. Entertaining but not a keeper.

Magical Family Adventure
by MommaMia (NY)
I have loved Willow since it first came out years ago, and have always had a copy of it in my house since it was made available on VHS way back when. I have recently purchased a DVD, since my daughter loved it as much as I did, and couldn't get enough! As far as being appropriate for family viewing, in my opinion, aside from mild adventure daring and scary evil queens, it's fine as far as language and sexual content. (There is none) Everyone in the family enjoys this movie, even my mother, who usually shys away from movies about fairys and magic. The baby is adorable, and you just fall in love with her and Willow, her ultimate savior. It's a great time you will enjoy for years to come.
Willow (Special Edition) Summary
In The Dungeons Of The Castle Of The Evil Queen-sorceress Bavmorda A Prisoner Gives Birth To A Child Who According To An Ancient Prophecy Will Put An End To The Reign Of The Queen. A Midwife Saves The Child From The Wrath Of Bavmorda But Is Forced To Throw Her Cradle In A River. Studio: Tcfhe Release Date: 09/05/2006 Starring: Val Kilmer Warwick Davis Run Time: 126 Minutes Rating: Pg Director: Ron Howard
This epic Lucasfilm fantasy serves up enough magical adventure to satisfy fans of the genre, though it treads familiar territory. With abundant parallels to
Star Wars
, the story (by George Lucas) follows the exploits of the little farmer Willow (Warwick Davis), an aspiring sorcerer appointed to deliver an infant princess from the evil queen (Jean Marsh) to whom the child is a crucial threat. Val Kilmer plays the warrior who joins Willow's campaign with the evil queen's daughter (Joanne Whalley, who later married Kilmer). Impressive production values, stunning locations (in England, Wales, and New Zealand) and dazzling special effects energize the routine fantasy plot, which alternates between rousing action and cute sentiment while failing to engage the viewer's emotions. A parental warning is appropriate: director Ron Howard has a light touch aimed at younger viewers, but doesn't shy away from grisly swordplay and at least one monster (a wicked two-headed dragon) that could induce nightmares.
