One of the best CDs of all time--seriously
by R. Shouse (State College, PA United States)
Ok, I'm 54 years old, I've heard a lot of music, and I have a wide range of tastes. And I rank this cd as one of the best overall pop/rock listening experiences of all time. These bands put some of their best work on this disk and all of the cuts are far and above most of what has been played on commercial radio over the last 10 years. I'm sure our family has listened to this cd a hundred times over the past 8 years and we always find it new and fresh. Buy this cd before it goes out of print.

You Can't Stop This Album
by C. A. Aburime (MN)
I'll tell you this; wow. I've had this captivating cd since I was a little girl, but since little girls are not to the most handiest ones with cds, it's kinda well; unusuable now. So I am going to the purchase a new one after all of these years. But let me tell you, these songs and this cd is enchanting!
the music is so unique, vocally and as individual tunes themselves. but they work marvelously together in this album of fun, love, and fierce powerpuff! :p
I mean, the beats of groovy, the tunes airy and fresh, it's something totally different yet amusingly sane. I absolutly adore it.
^_^
So to answer any questions; yes. It is definitely worth buying.

Heroes and Villians
by Stacia M. Hamilton (Tallahassee, FL)
Heroes and Villians is everything I hoped it would be, and more.
It's the perfect PowerPuff Girls soundtrack.

I bought this for my niece for her birthday. She absolutely loves it. The music is great.

Superb Soundtrack
by Tim Coogan (Millville, NJ)
The three young superheroines star in this amazing audio adventure where they save the day and play a little music, too. There are songs like "Go Monkey Go" by Devo, "The Fight" by Cornelius, "Walk and Chew Gum" by Optanganally Yours, "I'm a Super Girl" by Shonen Knife(they kinda sound like Puffy Ami Yumi), and of course, "The Signal in the Sky" by The Apples in Stereo. Note that some of those aformentioned songs became really neat music videos on Cartoon Network. Each song surprisingly goes along with the storyline, which is even neater. Also stay tuned on the final track, because of a hidden song will eventually play based on the "Mime for a Change" episode(as seen on "Cartoon Network Christmas Volume 2: Christmas Rocks" DVD).
They say that the Powerpuff Girls Rock and this soundtrack happens to prove it !
The Powerpuff Girls: Heroes and Villains Summary
Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup sure know how to pick 'em. Their
Heroes & Villains
might be the coolest soundtrack of the summer of 2000, as well as the best repellant for Townsville's evil monkey, Mojo Jojo. Inspired by the Cartoon Network's
The Powerpuff Girls
series, this delicious disc delivers a handful of exceptional contemporary pop-rock tunes customized especially for the occasion. And the music's so good that it may supersede the cartoon itself. Produced by Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale, with fave groups picked by Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken,
Heroes & Villains
has nary a clunker in its bunch. Disc highlights include the Beatles-like "Walk and Chew Gum" (Optiganally Yours), Komeda's killer "B.L.O.S.S.O.M.," Apples in Stereo's hook-infested "Signal in the Sky (Let's Go," Shonen Knife's hard-edged "Buttercup (I'm A Super Girl)," and a fun story thread that runs between songs. Of course there's Devo's own simian cheer lead, "Go Monkey Go," clearly another de-evolutionary breakdown at the hands of the mindless monkey Mojo. Play it again and again at maximum power.
