    So bad I can't even think of one good thing about it. OK, one good thing -- The Rock has a really nice body.

    I absolutely hated "The Rock" before seeing this movie. He can actually sort of kind of act. Not nearly as good as The Mummy movies, but it is an interesting piece to the puzzle.The plot and direction is terrible. For Mummy fans only.

    The Rock Returns as the scorpion king. this movie is the start of the scorpion king. it tells the story of the scorpion king. this is an awesome movie. I Recommend This Movie For Everyone. If you liked this movie then check out the other scorpion king movie

    This is a cool movie to watch on a lazy day, stay home and watch a movie day. Story line has been used in a lot of other movies, but it is still cool to watch. Lots of action and just enough special effects to get the job done. The Rock is fun to watch in this movie. Hey, its not Lord of the Rings, but Peter Jackson was busy making King Kong. Kelly Hu needed more time in this movie, this was a perfect role for her. Got this movie at such a good price on Amazon, I am not going to say anything bad about it.

    The Scorpion King is a pretty entertaining movie with good special effects. It doesn't take a lot of concentration to watch it so you can relax and just enjoy the movie. Of "The Mummy" series the Scorpion King is not my favorite. The original is still the best.

    The Scorpion King (Widescreen Collector's Edition) Summary In An Ancient Time, Predating The Pyramids, The Evil King Memnon Is Using The Psychic Powers Of His Sorceress Cassandra To Fortell His Great Victories. In A Last Ditch Effort To Stop Memnon From Taking Over The World, The Leaders Of The Remaining Free Tribes Hire The Assassin Mathayus To Kill The Soceress.

    There's nothing original in The Scorpion King, but this derivative action franchise gets off to a rousing start by cleverly stealing from a lot of better movies. Capitalizing on his brief cameo in The Mummy Returns, Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. World Wrestling Federation star the Rock) stars as Mathayus, an Akkadian assassin in the age preceding Egyptian pharaohs, who vows to avenge his brother's murder by an undefeated warlord (Steven Brand) prophesied to become the desert-ruling Scorpion King. Their battle for supremacy comprises most of the film's brisk 95-minute running time, punctuated by comic relief from Mathayus's obligatory sidekick (Grant Heslov), romance with a beautiful sorceress (Kelly Hu), and alliance with a massive Nubian (Michael Clarke Duncan) on the eve of their climactic showdown. There's no rhyme or reason to the film's depiction of ancient civilization (the costuming is particularly ludicrous), but the Rock demonstrates adequate action-star potential, and director Chuck Russell (The Mask) wraps it all in a slick, professional package. --Jeff Shannon
