Replacing my John Travolta Collection
by Yvonne Evans (New Orleans, Louisiana United States)
This movie is one of the movies I lost in the storm. Jamie Lee Curtis worked her you know what off as an Aerobics Instructor! Glad you guys had one available for me. I don't need to say much about the chin dimpled one...he is awsome!

PERFECT
by Robbie E. Davis (Maine)
How could this movie go wrong, it stars two of my favorite actors. I thought a couple of the scenes were a little over the top. One of the story lines that impressed me was the integrity of John's character in keeping his sources confidential but also being such a sleeze when it came to getting a story. The other story line was the obsession that people have about their bodies as if their appearance was all that mattered and their heads could be full of fluff. I would recommend this movie to anyone for just pure entertainment also. If I wanted totally intellectual movies or programs then I would go and immerse myself in deep thoughts like the scarecrow. If you want a movie that's easy on the eyes and brain that still carries an inner message then this is the one for you.

great movie
by ANVIL 1/73 (VIRGINIA)
I have read many substandard and insulting reviews about this movie and I have to say "GROW UP" It is amazing how many people take a movie and dismiss it as total garbage. It doesn't matter what it is, It could have been a blockbuster motion picture that sold billions of dollars yet some poor sap will find anything to write that is insulting about any movie. Perfect, was by no means a blockbuster hit nor the greatest movie I have seen, yet it was fun, entertaining and had a good plot. If those people who are paid to criticize movies would take a closer look at the caliber of the movie and it's title and say "oh yeah, now I get it" The word perfect is used quite frequently in the film to generalize a situation or make a sound statement, as does the fit bodies featured in the film. Take a look at this film with an open mind, dismiss it however you choose. I thought it was a good movie. It has all the aspects of human nature we all want to portray but sometimes can't, looks, personality and popularity. It seems those that do the reviews for movies have none of the above.

Actually a pretty good film about journalistic integrity.
by Mr. Eddie (New York, NY)
Yeah, it's got some completely over the top Olivia Newton John "let's get physical" moments, but then again, this WAS the 80s and I lived through this era. "Perfect" is a pretty accurate and literate look at America's obsession with physical beauty, and along the way addresses the major ethical and creative issues that separate hack journalists and great writers. It's a pretty good story!
I am kind of amazed at how quickly a film like this will be dismissed out of hand as plain goofy or some guilty pleasure. I know a lot of journalists, and many of them drive me nuts with their shallow take on the things they are supposed to be elucidating. That's exactly why Perfect works so well with the apparent superficiality of sexual culture and what painful truths it masks. It's got believable characters, a good plot, and is pretty entertaining to boot! How this film can have a 3-star rating and "POC: At World's End" have a 4-star rating is beyond me.

it's *perfect*
by A. Beardall (Salt Lake City, UT USA)
This movie is really good. First off, I am a fan of John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis, and upon finishing this movie for the first time, I felt that they work well together. Jamie shows off her killer bod in many scenes throughout, and can really motivate you to work out yourself. It's got a good meaning to the storyline. The soundtrack is phenomenal, with upbeat 80's hits, which makes the movie even better. I could relate with Jamie Lee's character, Jessie, because she likes to be perfect, in everything she does. "What's wrong with wanting to be the best that you can be? What's so wrong with wanting to be perfect?" is a famous line of Jessie. It's one of my favorite quotes -- and, really, what IS so wrong with wanting to be the best that you can be? Check it out. Some scenes I would label "iffy" (i.e. the strip tease scene), but overall the movie is great.
