A really good film based on a really good book. I've been meaning to rewatch it. In the theater there were only 2 men and the rest of the seats were sold out, all women. Girls movie. Sorry guys.

This is a timeless movie with heart and soul. It just brings back great memories of friendships and how they should be. Every girl/woman should watch this and learn some real old fashioned values. Its a wonderful story and the characters are priceless.

1/5 Unreastlic in a sitcom matter

Movie critics panned this movie and I am not suprised. It's really bad. it's too unreastlic and everything in it-the subject matter is handed in a very sitcom matter and not taken seriously. It bashes men too and makes fun of them. There's a lot of male bashing in this movie. I may sound outspoken, but seriously this movie is garbage. People aren't like this, men and friends and realtionships and life aren't like this. There's not even a hint of realism in this trash. I think the director is a lesbian and she probably is. She basicaly bashes men and boys, and this movie is very negative. It cuts men off and I hate that. I believe in girl power and all that, but we need men in our lives. We need husbands and brother and sons and girlfriends too and plenty of them. We need normal, stable lives. This movie is terrible. it's very dark and disturbing and it's got a lot of lesbian undertones.

This is quite possibly the worst book to movie translation. There are so many unbelievably HUGE differences that make the movie absolutely nothing like the book. One of the worst movies I've seen.
