As always Dawn French is fantastic, wish we had the talent like this in the U.S.A. The whole cast is just too funny and it is a fun show to watch.

1/5 The DVD That Doesn't!

The DVD of the Vicar of Dibley, the Complete Series 2, is defective and will not play. The DVD of the Complete Series 1 which I bought at the same time is just fine, as are the other two DVDs of the program which I also have. Apparently the BBC does not have very good quality control so one must be cautious in ordering their products, especially if you are not into returns.

I used to watch this on my PBS station, as I live WAY out in the boonies. Since the change over I get virtually no stations, so these DVDs are a MUCH welcome addition to my collection. Dawn French is great, as are all the cast members. I love the simplicity of these British sitcoms. I have all 3 seasons and the 2 other ones as well. I watch them again and again!

In this second series all 6 episodes will make you laugh. If not, you must be dead. In case you didn't know, a Vicar is a parish priest in the Anglican Church. And three episodes of this BBC comedy stand out for me: "The Easter Bunny"; "The Christmas Lunch Incident"; and "Love & Marriage". Buy this DVD and see if you agree with me. AMEN!
