Ikki Tousen - Legendary Fighter (Vol. 1) Summary Adapted from Yuji Shiozaki's manga Battle Vixens, Ikki-Tousen focuses on a war among Fighters, high school students who wear comma-shaped amulets that contain the souls of ancient Chinese warriors. It's a complicated and somewhat muddled set-up for a simple-minded fan service series. Hakufu comes to one of the warring schools to join her well-intended, long-suffering cousin, Koukin. Although her chest measurement is larger than her IQ, Hakufu is the reincarnation of the fiercest warrior; she jiggles her way through battles with students from her own school and others with a dim-witted good cheer. There's a mean-spiritedness to Ikki-Tosen that Real Bout High and Steel Angel Kurumi avoid. But storytelling and good taste clearly aren't the hallmarks of a series where even the title cards after commercial breaks include panty shots.
