Son loves it
by Richard Abraham (United States)
Wow... sometimes you get luck. Thank you to all the reviewers that recommend this product. My son loves it. He asks to watch it all the time. He keeps saying "Dragon World" and "Princess Kira." Of all the DVDs he has to watch, from watching NEMO to Monsters Inc, etc... he asks for this most frequently. Dragons... its a no brainer. I really hope the makers of this movie and its sequel come out with a third movie. Some great lessons in both. Both are highly recommended.

DRAGONS RULE!
by Hvore
If your kid likes dragons then they will love this tale. The graphics are great, the music is fabulous and the story is top shelf. The people who wrote this story and the others in this saga should get an award because they are entertaining for kids and adults too and border on theatre releases. I actually prefer these movies to some of the other hack job sci fi flicks being released in theatres today. A lot of imagination went into these stories and your kid should really enjoy them. I would recommend the child being around 5 or older before turning them onto these stories/DVDs because there is animated fighting in it. I simply watch them with my kids and when questions come up then I'm there to answer them so they understand its only fantasy.

Great kid movie
by MominGeorgia
My 5 yo daughter is into all the Mega Blok dragons so I bought her this movie. We watched it tonight and my husband and I were really pleased-- it was definitely a G-rated kiddie movie with no blood, gore or death shown (yes, it was implied). I asked her after watching if it was scary at all and she said no, that she loved it. That's good enough for me! We're looking forward to watching Metal Ages tomorrow.

Made me sit back down to watch with my son
by Steven W. Bucey (Lancaster, Ohio USA)
I almost walked away to do other things after I started the DVD player but I generally like to at least screen the things my seven year old watches, and eventually I just got tired of standing so I sat down. It is fast moving with lots of action and develops the plot well. Also, unlike many other movies based on toys, if I hadn't known that it was based on the Megablocks toys I would never have noticed the relationship (outside of the credits). A nice touch is that the two main human characters have faults to go with their strengths that make them interesting.
Dragons - Fire & Ice Summary
Two Young Rival Dragon Riding Warriors Fight To End A 1000 Year Old War Despite The Hidden Manipulator Opposing Them. Studio: Lions Gate Home Ent. Release Date: 08/28/2007 Run Time: 72 Minutes Rating: Nr
Dragons: Fire and Ice
is a visually and dramatically impressive animated adventure inspired by a line of Mega-Bloks toys, the same way that Mega-Bloks' rival Lego's Bionicle products yielded the
Bionicle: Mask of Light
and
Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui
features. By comparison,
Dragons
may be the superior entertainment, perhaps no less cluttered in its mythic storytelling than the
Bionicle
franchise but framed and paced far more like a handsome, live-action movie. Set in a time of legend, the film concerns a shattered truce between two warring kingdoms, Draigar and Norvagen, whose earlier peace was established through the wisdom of dragons. Each side blames the other for the disappearance of those winged creatures, though that tragedy was brought about by a manipulative ambassador. But it is Draigar's prince and Norvagen's princess, unbeknownst to them, who possess special powers granted by the Dragon King to heal the old rift. Above-average family viewing.
