This movie is ok. It features a shocking lesbian scene between Angelina Jolie and a lucky lady. Well, anyway, it portrayed the life of a sad model who turns to drugs. It was enjoyable, but unfortunately not the best.

This is a relationship story in the beginning. This is a fall-from-grace Tragedy at the end. It is a voyeur film in the sense that the thrill is in the watching much more than in following along as the story unfolds, especially once the transition from the early relationship to the long, long fall begins. The more successful the model becomes the more she is manipulated and the more she succumbs to the destructive extravagance available to her.

Angelina Jolie does an excellent acting job in Gia. She shows depth and an understanding of the problems faced by a young woman who is suddenly thrust into the world of high fashion.
