This is the BEST of the 5 "Live In" releases from his TIKI TIME TOUR. Just pour yourself a cool one, close your eyes, and YOU ARE IN HAWAII AT THIS CONCERT. I especially like "The Natives Are Restless Tonight" track, which was a HUGE production number for the tour. Would love to see a studio version of that little known song.

2 cds plus a short dvd clip of the concert. Excellent value and quality and Buffett absolutely shines on this album!

Jimmy Buffett is always fun to listen too. Living in Hawaii and not being at the concert the CD was recorded from it is very enjoyable. Well worth the price and an added feature to my music library/Don H

5/5 Definitely the best live CD of the Tikki Time Tour

This live set is the best of the many released soundboard recording from the Tikki Time Tour. The set list is probably the most interesting and Jimmy and the Coral Reefers sound like they are having a great time in Hawaii. The negative reviewers concentrate on the sound quality, but you have to remember this is recorded from the soundboard. If you want a perfect sounding live disc from Buffett then pick up one of his three other discs, particulary "Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays" which is my favorite. Like that disc, Live in Hawaii is a fun listen, even with the imperfections. I was disappointed that the DVD wasn't longer, but I considered it a bonus anyway. The other complaint is that Jimmy released several live sets form the same tour. Hey, no one said you had to buy everything Jimmy releases. So, if you haven't bought any Tikki Time Tour discs yet then just buy Live in Hawaii.

Jimmy Buffett flooded the market with recordings from the 2004 Tiki Time Tour - there's about 5 or 6 "Live in..." CD sets out there all with very similar set lists and performance style. However, Live In Hawaii is easily the best of the bunch. For starters, the performances from that tour all had a distinctive "tiki bar" flair to them, and Jimmy referenced how he was ending the tour in Hawaii on nearly every other recording. So when they finally perform in Honolulu and Maui, there's a noticeable surge in energy and excitement from the band. Throw in a few guest performances by the legendary Henry Kapono, and you've got yourself quite a concert CD.

If there is any fault, it's that the bonus DVD is only about 15 minutes long. It does give you an idea of what the Tiki Time Tour looked like on stage, which was slightly different than other Buffett tours, but I would have at least liked to have seen one whole set on video. But the CDs are so good, I can't complain.
