Christmas with the Kranks
Christmas with the Kranks is a disastrous "holiday" movie, with nothing to offer. The Direction is awful. The Screenplay is worse with no funny parts at all. Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis give terrible performances and lack chemistry. I c...

Very funny, an awesome addition to holiday films
I saw this movie just after it had hit DVD. This was a very funny movie the first time I saw it I really got a laugh out of the back and fourth between Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. The story is The Kranks, Luther and Nora have had to sa...

Christmas with the Kranks Quick Review
Silly, sentimental holiday comedy makes its cast do some ridiculous things just to learn a lesson in the end. Can Tim Allen find another role to play besides the goofy, put-upon dad in family films? FInal Grade: C

This DVD was in very good shape. It plays beautifully. I would order from this vendor again anytime!

Christmas with the Kranks
by Zena M. Hamilton
This is one of the funniest Christmas movies I have seen. It is great for the whole family to see. I would tell everyone to buy this movies for their home entertainment library.

I Loved, Loved, Loved it
by Miss Peabow
I had bought this video wore it out and had to buy another one. Family and friends loved it also. Just good, clean hilarious Christmas humor. And of course Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis are just perfect together.

Typical holiday flick-too over the top
by :::DIGITAL BABE::: (East Coast)
Of course this genre is meant to inflect the sometimes "hustle and bustle" holiday season with laughter and humor, but this flick was a bit irritating. The premise was funny enough-a couple trying to spice things up, in the face of their daughter's absence during a trip to another country. But the film is monotonous and the script a bit campy.
All actors do a fine job with the material given, but aside from the scene where the cruise tickets are given to the elderly couple across the street, the film lacks the genuine sentiments of other holiday films (such as "The Holday" and others). This does not have a hgh rewatchability factor for me, and I typically like holiday films. Give it a "rent" if you like the type.

Slapstick humor gets a full-body workout in
Christmas with the Kranks
. Critics were unanimous in their derision, and John Grisham must have gnashed his teeth over what studio-boss-turned-director Joe Roth did to his bestselling novel
Skipping Christmas
, to which this broad-stroked comedy bears little or no resemblance. The title characters are played by Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, who decide to skip Christmas because their daughter's in Peru with the Peace Corps. Thus begins a rabid program of enforced conformity when their neighbors (led by Dan Aykroyd) coerce the Kranks into changing their holiday attitude--a change that comes easily when the daughter announces she'll be home for Christmas after all. Imagine if a suburban lynch mob said "Have a Merry Christmas or we'll kill you," and you'll get some idea of what spending
Christmas with the Kranks
is really like. And if you laughed at the frozen cat, you're probably on Santa's "naughty" list.
