Eric Clapton breaks out!
by Mark Reres (NYC)
After world-wide success with Cream and Blind Faith, Eric Clapton breaks out on his own with a little help from his friends! Eric Clapton's first solo album is a must for every classic-rock collection! Every track showcases "Slowhand's" blues-rock style that makes him the legend he is today!

Excellent
by Dave (Milwaukee, WI USA)
I'm happy to have a remixed version of this fine 1st solo project of one of the finest guitarists of all time. I do enjoy the horn enhanced mix from Delaney Bramlett included in this package and the original lyrics for the tune "Let It Rain".

Eponymous Clapton with Extras.
by G. Merritt (Boulder, CO)
Recorded during one of the busiest periods of his career, between his work with Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos, and while collaborating with his friend George Harrison on All Things Must Pass, Eric Clapton's self-titled 1970 album has always been a favorite, and I've owned it in several versions. This album features the Delaney Bramlett song, "Bottle Of Red Wine," the Clapton classic, "Let It Rain," and the J. J. Cale single, "After Midnight," all of which are reason enough to own this classic Clapton album, featuring Clapton on guitar and lead vocals and a who's who of 70s' session sidemen: Bramlett on rhythm guitar and vocals, Leon Russell on piano, Bobby Whitlock on organ and vocals, Jim Gordon on drums, Bonnie Bramlett, Rita Coolidge and Stephen Stills on vocals. The remastered double album has never sounded better, and includes the following tracks:
Disc 1
1. Slunky 3:33
2. Bad Boy 3:33
3. Lonesome And A Long Way From Home 3:29
4. After Midnight 2:51
5. Easy Now 2:57
6. Blues Power 3:09
7. Bottle Of Red Wine 3:06
8. Lovin' You Lovin' Me 3:19
9. I've Told You For The Last Time 2:30
10. I Don't Know Why 3:10
11. Let It Rain 5:02
12. Blues In "A" 10:25
13. Teasin' 2:14
14. She Rides 5:08
Disc 2 (The "Delaney Bramlett mix")
1. Slunky 3:33
2. Bad Boy 3:41
3. Easy Now 2:57
4. After Midnight 3:17
5. Blues Power 3:19
6. Bottle Of Red Wine 3:06
7. Lovin' You Lovin' Me 4:03
8. Lonesome And A Long Way From Home 3:48
9. Don't Know Why 3:43
10. Let It Rain 5:02
11. Don't Know Why 5:12
12. I've Told You For The Last Time 6:46

Amazing!
by R. Marcil
I have been a Clapton fan for years, and really like this CD, especially the alternate Bramlett mixes. The horns are especially refreshing. The multi-star band really puts out some wonderful sounds.

D. Bramlett, the real deal
by M. D. Minton (Roslindale, MA United States)
Good reissue of a great album - check out Delaney Bramletts version of "I've told you for the last Time" - alone its almost worth the extra $ of the album - kind of puts him and Clapton in perspective. Southern soul with Eric Clapton palying lead guitar.
