I wouldn't rush for the remote for this one...
This is one of those movies that has a good message. Cherish every moment, because life will pass you before your eyes. It was nice to see Adam Sandler not play a moron, but take on something that shows that he can be serious. It was good ...

I don't really know what to think of this film. It is about a guy who receives a universal remote, which can control everything in his life. This movie starts of as a comedy, but also has a sense of adventure, but by the end of the movie, ...

the finer things in life
Are you feeling stressed? Are you worried? Maybe sit down and watch this movie. It will remind you of all the important things in life, maybe I should take my own advise on this somedays. I thought this was a great role for Adam Sandler, i...

This is one of those movies that gives me difficulty when it comes to rating them. The first half of the film is really tedious and cliche, but the last half had great potential and had its moments. I've always wanted to see the vulnerable...

Ok..but if you want funny go rewatch Billy Madison
This film tries too hard to cover too many genres, its almost as though they didn't think that comedy and adventure, and sci-fi was enough, who ever decided that this needed to be a chick flick as well just went over the line and killed an...

This flick can only be good for hardcore sandler's fans. I like him, but not that much as to dig this. We've seen the premise thouthand of times, and better done. Cool idea, but poorly executed.

The comedy didn't really work, but the story was good. I like the ending.

This is the Adam Sandler who straddles seriousness and comedy and, this time it just doesn't work. Focus on one or the other already! Plus, I still don't understand why he couldn't just rewind the whole damn thing.

Underrated
by James A. Strong (Atlanta, Georgia United States)
Frank Capra ("It's A Wonderful Life," "It Happened One Night"), meet Adam Sandler. Many movies with low humor strive to have a heart (e.g., the entire "American Pie" series), but most seem like they're trying too hard to have it both ways. "Click" actually succeeds in finding that right middle ground. It also helps that it works from a clever premise and explores its possibilities quite nicely.
Sandler, entering middle age begrudgingly and incorporating what he has learned from his dramatic turns in "Punch-Drunk Love" and "Spanglish," tries tapping into a more universal theme (workaholic needs to learn that his family is more important than his job) and entertain his core audience at the same time. Like the movie itself, he pulls it off. Thanks in no small part to a strong supporting cast--led by Kate Beckinsale as his long-suffering wife; Christopher Walken as an unusual angel in disguise who provides him with a universal remote that can control much more than his appliances, and gives him warnings about it that go unheeded; Jennifer Coolidge as a philandering, self-absorbed family friend; Julie Kavner (the voice of Marge Simpson) and Henry Winkler as his parents; and yes, even David Hasselhoff (who seems to be having even more fun poking fun at himself these days than William Shatner) as his clueless boss, among others--and some astute soundtrack choices at key moments, "Click" is one of those rare movies that finds a balance between comedy and drama: It tickles your ribs by appealing to the side of you that still laughs at juvenile absurdity while also appealing to the side of you that has had no choice but to grow up and face the numbing, endless stressors of grown-up life.

Makes you think
by Maria D. (Miami, USA)
Ok, there are enough reviews here so I'm going to keep it short and simple.
I never thought I'd say this about an Adam Sandler movie... this movie makes you think and reevaluate your life.

-> Kate Beckinsale is hot!
What you should NOT learn from this movie:
-> Abandon your spouse and family because of work and life's usual annonyances.
Adam Sandler!
If you don't want the Universal Remote Control anymore, send it to me!

difficult times are the best times of our lives... don't fast forward it!
by Medusa (Troy, MI)
It's all in the title! I don't want to ruin the movie (if you have not watched it by now). We have everything we need, right here; right this moment no matter how hard it is as long as we have our loved ones!
Mr. Opera man is awesome like always, and Christopher Walken is right there as well. It can't get any better!

is a high-concept, low-brow variation on
It's a Wonderful Life
that will have Adam Sandler fans laughing even as it leaves Frank Capra spinning in his grave. In their third collaboration (after
The Wedding Singer
and
The Waterboy
, Sandler and director Frank Coraci aim at the lowest common denominator and consistently hit their target, from scary casting (David Hasselhoff as Sandler's shallow, sexist boss; Sean Astin in a tight red Speedo) to a rancid menu of fart jokes, fat jokes, oversexed dogs, and other attempts at humor that rarely rise above the level of grade-school pranks. Sandler's "family comes first" sentiment somehow manages to survive the onslaught of rude, crude attitude that Sandler brings to his role as Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who learns the hard way that, well, family comes first. This happens after Newman gets a magical remote control from Morty (Christopher Walken, the film's one and only highlight), an eccentric oddball in the "Beyond" section of a Bed, Bath & Beyond store who's a devilish version of
Wonderful Life
's benevolent guardian angel. But Sandler's no James Stewart as he uses his techno-marvel (complete with a DVD-like "life menu") to fast-forward through his life's most unpleasant moments, only to realize that he's been missing lots of good stuff, too. With Kate Beckinsale as Newman's neglected wife, impressive older-age make-ups by Rick Baker and a lot of digital wizardry to beef up the humor,
