The Transporter Quick Review
A great action sequel. One of the best I've ever seen. Awesome.

Statham & Style Elevate The Action
by Craig Connell (Lockport, NY USA)
I've always rated this pretty high even if the last 10 minutes got totally out of hand. Actually, a lot of the film is a little over-the-top butit's such a fun movie that I didn't care. Apparently, others agree as this film - as I write - has spawned two sequels.
Jason Statham is very cool in the lead and it's he that makes this a fun film. I also enjoyed Shu Qi, a very pretty woman; the witty dialog of Francois Berleand and some stylish, tongue-in-cheek directing by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen. Another director whose films are known for their hip styles also co- wrote this: Luc Besson.
Some of the action scenes are outrageous. To Statham's credit, he did most of the action scenes himself. I guess he's a tough guy in real life, too. He's pretty amazing.
I still think this is the best of three Transporter films.

Great action!
by Joey Balk (Seattle, WA)
Another fun action movie with Jason Statham. Parts can be a bit unrealistic but overall a fun watch.
5/5
Statham is THE MAN!!
by Olde American (Richmond, Virginia)
English tough guy Jason Statham proves he's got a$$-whooping credentials in The Transporter. Spin kicking, jump kicking, and punching the crap out of criminals of every race and nationality. Not taking any guff from nobody Statham kicks his way through southern France for an hour and a half of pure popcorn entertainment. The take away moment of the film is when he uses the film's heroine as a weapon and throws her at a French policeman and then floors the other French policeman with some kungfu.
The Transporter [Blu-ray] Summary
Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is the best as what he does: transporting dangerous or illegal goods with no questions asked. But his last shipment, a beautiful young woman kidnapped by international slave traders, brings deadly complications to his delivery plans. Now Frank must kick into overdrive in a nonstop action-packed fight to save his precious cargo - and his life. Format: BLU-RAY DISC

Move over, Vin Diesel, because
The Transporter
, Hong Kong action veteran Corey Yuen's English-language directorial debut, is revving up to steal your thunder. As the
other
top-billed action star to emerge in 2002, British hunk Jason Statham--previously seen in
Snatch
,
Ghosts of Mars
, and
The One
--plays a hard-driving courier for well-heeled underworld clients. He follows simple rules: (1) Stick to the deal; (2) Don't ask names; and (3) Don't look in the packages he transports. All's well until he violates rule 3, discovering a Chinese beauty (Qi Shu) in the trunk of his tricked-out BMW, and foiling a deadly plot to smuggle Chinese slaves through the port of Marseilles. The first hour is ass-kickin' fun, and the stuntwork is impressive throughout, even as the plot degenerates into a predictable series of bone-breaking showdowns. Statham boasts an appealing combination of brains
and
brawn, suggesting the suave versatility of a promising career. Coproduced by action auteur Luc Besson and filmed on dazzling French locations,
The Transporter
is an action fan's delight.
--Jeff Shannon
