Meet the Fockers
This one was as good as or better than Meet The parents. Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman are great as the aging hippie-ish parents compared to the straight edged DeNiro. This had a lot of great interaction between two very different s...

A very funny sequel
Meet the Fockers was VERY FUNNY. Better than the first! Academy Award winner Robert De Niro is back as Jack Byrnes, who is as tight and surly as ever. Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman is here as Bernie Focker, perhaps distant future Aca...

Meet the Fockers Quick Review
I laughed harder at this one than I did at the first one, but this one has a really annoying child involved. Still the combination of De Niro, Stiller, Hoffman and Streisand make this one unmissable.

Saw the Movie was not impressed.not too funny sadly.
by Jose Lopez (Miami,Florida USA)
This movie is not as funny as the first sadly, where the first meet the parents movie was hilarious this one lacks it, it's not that this movie is not Funny. it is. but not as much as the 1st one. Then you add in the new cast of characters it just didn't do it for me sadly. It could have been better, there is a 3rd installment rumored to come as of this writing which will be about the kids, let's hope it's better and funnier. Pass this one, go for the 1st. I rented it and was disappointed.

Fun, fun, fun movie!
by Ekaterina Walter (Oregon, USA)
Part 2 to "Meet the Parents", this movie is even more fun. Streisand, Hoffman, De Niro are all outstanding in this feature! What a great cast and a hilarious plot.

Not Even Close to "Meet the Parents"
by Media Lover
Let me just say, I LOVE "Meet the Parents." It's one of my favorite movies of all time.
Let me now say, this movie is NOTHING like meet the parents. The whole movie is based on two things:
1. Cheesy Sex Humor
2. Gross out gags
Nothing else from this film is memorable (except for the always amazing Robert De Niro reprising one of his best roles.) Gotta love Jack!
Skip this movie, see the first one.

Excellent Sequel
by Kevin R. Mullins
I have not seen too many sequels that are as good or better than the first movie. However, this is a classic with a continuation of the domination that Robert De Niro has over his daughter.
I never anticipated Ben Stiller's family being so different than what was betrayed in the first movie. I highly recommend watching both of these movies "back to back."
Meet the Fockers [HD DVD] Summary
Meet the Parents
found such tremendous success in the chemistry produced by the contrasting personalities of stars Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller that the film's creators went for broke with the same formula again in
Meet the Fockers
. This time around, Jack and Dina Byrnes (De Niro and Blythe Danner) climb into Jack's new kevlar-lined RV with daughter Pam (Teri Polo), soon-to-be son-in-law Gaylord (Stiller), and Jack's infant grandson from his other daughter for the trip to Florida to meet Gaylord's parents, Bernie and Roz Focker (Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand in a casting coup). The potential in-laws are, of course, the opposite of Jack, a pair of randy, touchy-feely fun-lovers. The rest of the movie is pretty much a sitcom: put Bernie and Roz together with Jack, and watch the in-laws clash as Gaylord squirms. As with the original, there is a sense of joy in watching these actors take on their roles with obvious relish, and the Hoffman-Streisand-Stiller triumvirate is likeable enough to draw you in. But the formula doesn't work as well in
Fockers
mostly because much of the humor is based on two obvious gimmicks: Gaylord Focker's name, and the fact that Streisand's character is a sex therapist. As a result, the movie itself is more contrived and predictable, and a lot less fun than the original. The casting is grand, but one wishes more thought was put into the script.
