The Moon shot in summary
by George Kozeliski (New Mexico)
Very good historical look at Apollo. Information given that the public didn't know at the time.

Exciting and Moving
by sm (Pennsylvania)
This has to be the best documentary I have ever seen. Here you are retold the tale of history's greatest adventure by the very men who actually went to the moon. By the end of the movie these guys seem like old friends, and you will be hanging on to their every word. What they accomplished was beyond great and certainly required courage unlike any other explorers in history. And though you may envy the fact that they experienced something that seems almost too fantastic to believe, you'll still find yourself truly fond of how magnificently they have shared their experiences with the rest of us.
After watching this riveting composition of personal perspectives and exceptional film footage, only an utter fool would entertain any of the moon-landing-hoax nonsense that has been floating around for years. What sets this film apart from other space flight retrospectives is how each astronaut's narrative weaves together with the other's to create such a masterful and cohesive story.
This is a definite must see, even if you are not a fan of the space program.

Great introduction to the moon landings for the whole family
by C. Tracy
My husband and I watched this and thought it was pretty good. When we showed it to our four year old, he thought it was great and it helped make so many abstract concepts real to him.

NASA Men on the Moon
by A. Calder (Orlando, Florida)
I watched this documentary on a flight from Orlando to Houston, while NASA was debating whether we should ever go back. I really enjoyed it and will watch it again at home on my HD TV, but they should have made this in Widescreen, not just Full Frame.

In the Shadow of the Moon
by Dave (Columbia, SC)
This is a great presentation with footage I had never seen before. A must for school libraries as well as families interested in space science.

Remember When The Whole World Looked UpIn The Shadow Of The Moon is an intimate epic which vividly communicates the daring and the danger the pride and the passion of this extraordinary era in American history. Between 1968 and 1972 the world watched in awe each time an American spacecraft voyaged to the Moon. Only 12 American men walked upon its surface and they remain the only human beings to have stood on another world. Now for the first time and very possibly the last In The Shadow Of The Moon combines archival material from the original NASA film footage much of it never before seen with interviews with the surviving astronauts who emerge as eloquent witty emotional and very human.System Requirements:Running Time: 100 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: DOCUMENTARIES/HISTORY Rating: PG UPC: 821575555951 Manufacturer No: TF-55595
