Good for the last 20 minutes....
by Chuck Mengel (Tyrone, Pa.)
Other than the last 20 minutes of the movie, which was totally gory, fun, and downright wrong, the movie was a bore. The production values were decent which gave way to impressive, and bloody effects. The acting was not half bad and although the plot has been done before many times, it wasnt a complete waste of time. I'd recommend it if you have nothing better to watch.

Being Australian, I usually hate these things, but,,,,
by Micheal Hunt (Hellbourne)
Being Australian, I usually hate it when they try to make horror/thriller movies here, as they always try to implement it into being all Australian rather then what makes a good movie for anyone to enjoy.
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this one.
Between the Australian states of Victoria, and Tasmania (which is that island down the bottom) there is two islands you can see on a map in between Vic and Tassie. One of those Islands is called French Island, which is where this movies story takes place. A couple go out to sea in a small boat for a day of fishing, but find themselves lost and first sign of land they see is French island, however they have no idea they have drifted that far.
Upon landing on French island, they seek out to find a farm or anything they can to maybe get a taxi or something back to where they came from. They find a farm and it seems no one is home, so they enter the house and look for a phone and find a few things they really shouldn't have seen. As the owners come home to find them, the movies plot starts to kick in as these 3 men have other ideas then to take the lost couple to any place safe.
After that, the movie sucks you in and you should enjoy the plot of this couple trying to escape the clutches of these 3 nut cases out in the middle of nowhere, and there little dog too.
I like to sometimes tell you if you liked such and such a movie, you might like this one, but the only one i can think of is one I didn't like actually, but if you did like "Wolf Creek" you may very well enjoy this one. I guess it's also a more realistic and less over the top approach to "House Of 1000 Corpses" too. Or any of the million horror movies out there where a lost couple stumble onto the wrong house to ask for help....however, you wont be hearing the Time Warp sung anywhere in this movie.

This is a WARNING not to bother with this dribble, dribble, dop, dop
by CraigalsCosmosis (Chicago,IL USA)
Two redneck brothers and their father live deep in the woods and grow weed.A couple stumble upon them and their secret stash.I don't think I need to tell you what happens next. What I will tell you is one scene that sealed the deal for me on just how lame this movie was,not to mention boring to the 'EXTREME'.The captors put their prisoners in a barn 'FULL' of sharp tools and they don't even bother to tie them up.How stupid is that???Not in the way the villian can never quite knock off that pesky last potential victim so to let us see the suvivor stretch out the ending with suspense in such a manner to entertain us with fun campiness. Here in 'Storm Warning' we get tossed an egg in the face as to say the viewers are that mindless that they wouldn't understand or care what is being put before them.As if to say we are all sheep that sit in front of a screen and drowl from the mouth. As for the gore, they really don't show much of that, aside from one scene where one of the weed farmers gets a hammer to the head. That's all that this dimension extreme picture could come up with.Damn!!!!Again very boring too.The movie dragged on with the telling of the story of the couple. When the action did finally come the payoff was a let down,it had me thinking that's it,that's what I have been watching for.I bought this movie due to all the good reviews here. Thanks a lot people.I guess it doesn't take much to amuse some people.I do however like a lot of bad movies that fall on the lines of mindless slasher flicks, but as long as they are fun then I don't mind the thin plot lines.Storm Warning absolutly failed to entertain me in the least bit.If you want to see a good dimension extreme film, check out "Inside"for a movie that is actually creepy and disturbingly scary or "Black Sheep"for gory camp action packed fun.

Not again...
by Movie Dude (Alabama)
You think people would learn by now.If it LOOKS like a redneck, inbred, psycho, hillbilly and SOUNDS like a redneck, inbred, psycho, hillbilly and ACTS like a redneck,inbred,psycho,hillbilly...it probably IS a redneck, inbred, psycho, hillbilly.
It is never a good idea to trespass and/or break and enter into these peoples homes. If your boat becomes stranded in a storm because you feel the need to take your lady friend/wife miles up a secluded irrigation inlet while you are out on a boating trip like this couple, use common sense. If you are crazy enough to break into the above redneck, inbred, psycho, hillbilly's domicile, and you find a back shed full of marijuana plants, get the hell out. There is only one thing worse than a redneck,inbred,psycho,hillbilly....a DRUG USING,redneck, inbred, psycho, hillbilly.
But seriously, this premise has been done to death. While the acting in this movie is good,I just can't get past the basic story.I bought this movie because I liked some of the other dimension extreme films, but this one just didnt do it for me.

disturbingly provacative
by A.GRAYLEN (gulf coast,fl.)
This movie is a great thrill ride.It kept me totally intuned, very provacative.A look into the depravity of mankind. The level of humiliation the victims must indure is disturbing. I loved the spin on this movie. An excellent addition to my collection.
