SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN CANCELED
by James Lasher (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Lil' Bush - Resident of United States - Season One I suspect the TV show was canceled due to "w" going to war in the name of all US citizens. Mistake. Yes this makes fun of the president in traditional U.S. family comedy style. Beyond the dumbness of the president is the dumbness of all of us. Republicans, Democrats, Independents, NRA members and anti NRA, everyone of us gets satirized. So what if we went to war, that is no excuse for us to stop looking at ourselves humorously.

Definitely hilarious... And right on time.
by Reader (Somewhere in the South)
Hey, for everyone who likes some subtle and yet scathing political humor, check it out. I love it. Bought it as a gift for someone else and they love it.

RAH RAH RAH RAH....FUNNY AS HECK....RAH RAH RAH RAH!!!!
by D.P. (California)
Regardless of how you feel regarding the politics in america, this a show that is just political satire at it's best. Not in recent years have I laughed so hard & so much at a cartoon. Unlike South Park & Family Guy which has a record of having "hit & miss" episodes, so far the first season of Lil' Bush hasn't missed one. Don't get the wrong idea, just because the show is called Lil' Bush & his cabinet/family are the stars of the show...EVERYONE gets made fun of from Bill & Hillary to Obama & Michael Moore...and even celebrity media news stories get a quick one liner like Paris Hilton's jail time & Bob Barker's retirement. If your highly sensitive then avoid this but if you have an open sense of humor then pick this up & be prepared to just have a big laugh at people & situations that have caused a heavy amount of mixed reactions & strong emotions from americans & others around the world over the past 8 years.

Laugh out loud!!
by Renee Woods
It's come to the point where if you can't find things to laugh about, about the state of affairs our country is in, then you'd have to cry!! Lil' Bush lets us laugh WITH the characters. Highly entertaining cartoon for us grown-ups.

Very funny....
by Thorataz (Oro Valley, AZ USA)
Very funny, well written. If you are in your 20s early 30's you will like it if, you like off the wall comedy. I love 'lil chaney, he's great.

The animated series
Lil' Bush
isn't the first television comedy to center its gags on the words and deeds on George W. Bush's presidency (that distinction belongs to Trey Parker and Matt Stone's short-lived
That's My Bush!
), but its premise, which envisions Bush and his cabinet as ill-mannered grade schoolers, enlivens its broad comic approach. Creator Donick Cary (who also voices the unintelligible and bloodthirsty Lil' Cheney) spins his kid-sized Bush staff according to popular opinion about their personalities--Lil' Bush is dense but craft, Lil' Condi pines for Bush, Lil' Rummy (voiced by Iggy Pop, of all people) is the scapegoat for their misadventures, and so on-- and the 30-minute episodes manage to skewer not only the Bush administration but American politics as a whole (the Clintons, Barack Obama, and Al Gore are not immune to Cary's hazing), toss about pop culture references and gross-out jokes and even squeeze in a musical number (by the Lil' Bush band). It's all very fast-paced and over the top and definitely not for the easily offended, but it's also not particularly fresh in its attack on a President who's been the target of pundits and comics since his first days in office. Those who don't mind the soft satire will find
Lil' Bush
entertaining; all others will do better with
South Park
or even
The Daily Show
. The DVD includes cast and crew commentaries on all six episodes, as well as alternate commentaries by real-life politicos and commentators Tucker Carlson, Ralph Nader, and Jerry Springer (none of whom seem to be in on the joke). Interviews with the creators, a table read with the cast, and a bonus episode, the 12-minute "Walter Read," round out the extras.
