Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
Having grew up in the 80's, the original Lost Boys movie made an impression. It is of its time but the film exceeds teen movie cliche by being charming, funny and cool, with one of the best intro songs of all time (Cry Little Sister by Sis...

Not as good as the first, but OK
I kind of liked this movie, though it was not nearly as good as the origional classic. When I first heard they were making a sequal to the best vampire movie of the 1980's, I thought, "oh, f*ck, why??" Then I heard Corey Feldman was to rep...

Lost Boys 2: A sequel-disgrace
Lost Boys 2: The Tribe comes as a surprise to most people. After waiting 20 years, less for some people, we finally get a sequel.
I download the movie, excited and more than just a little optimistic. I even punish myself mentally fo...

Somewhat funny horror, bad DVD features
A pretty funny remake of the Lost Boys. It wasn't nearly as good as the first one, but at the same time it wasn't horrible. Corey Feldman's character had the same lines as the first movie and was pretty funny. It keeps true to the cheesine...

Who Exactly Was Demanding This Sequel?
by Brian Lueth (Chicago, IL United States)
Lost Boys 2 was relatively entertaining, keyword being "relatively." There were no surprises, no major twists, everything was nice and predictable. I wasn't blown away by this flick but, believe it or not, this little direct-to-DVD sequel wasn't half bad for what it was. I never once figured it'd be good enough to hit theaters but Pesce's direction is competent and Rodionoff's screenplay was slightly better than a Sci-Fi Original film so take that however you want. I wasn't incredibly enamored with the feeble attempts at comedy relief or the go nowhere subplot involving Edgar Frog's absentee suck-monkey brother but I wasn't really expecting perfection. If you were, you're definitely new to the game.
Really though, the acting was decent, the FX was the real deal stuff, not that CG trash, and the updated version of "Cry Little Sister" sounded awesome. I was a bit disappointed when I realized Haim was missing from the film until I watched the alternate endings and came to the conclusion that he sucked harder than a Hoover-mouthed street walker. After all these years who would have thought Feldman would have ended up being the better actor?
By the way, it's eerie how much Angus Sutherland, Keifer's half-brother, resembles, and even acts like, his father Donald. It was like watching a younger, better looking Donald in action.
I know a ton of people hated this and their animosity toward the film is understandable but it really wasn't all that bad. This here is one of those totally unnecessary, utterly disposable horror sequels that you'll either love, hate or "meh." I suppose I'm in the "meh" category because I can live with or without it. I was able to see it, allow myself to be mildly entertained by it and that's that. I won't be purchasing this or renting it again but that doesn't mean hardcore Lost Boys fans shouldn't at least give it a shot.

Good, But Not As Good As The First
by D. Meeker (USA)
The Lost Boys: The Tribe is excellent but it doesn't even come close to being better than the first. The Lost Boys (Two-Disc Special Edition) was a classic and one of the best vampire movies ever made. The sequel tries to be like the original but is different in many parts. First, the movie has quite a bit of nudity where the first has none. Second, the movie had over 60 F-Words when the first had not one. Overall the movie was worth it but is not a hit classic like the first was. The movie stars Angus Sutherland as the tribe leader Shane. It also stars Tad Hilgenbrink of American Pie - Band Camp (Unrated Widescreen Edition).

Mildly entertaining at best
by The Tao of Netflix (Washington, DC)
I'm a big fan of the original Lost Boys. It had witty dialog, good camera work, cool acting, atmosphere, etc. Take all of that away, and you have The Tribe. And what's the deal with Corey Feldman's voice? If that's his real voice, then the casting director should be fired. If that's not, then what's the deal? I can appreciate the concept of having one of the original leads play a role, but there's an abundant set of reasons why he hasn't graced the silver screen with any roles of merit. This movie certainly does not prove the hollywood decision makers wrong. However, production quality is pretty good, and that makes it at least watchable. If this found its way to your dvd player via netflix, it won't be your worst night.

lots of blood and humor
by Erica Agosto
well i got to say this was one interesting movie. but not interesting because it was attention grabbing.(i fell asleep immediately the 1st attempt to watch it) but the 2nd time i must admit i was wide awake and payed closed attention.
i would say the movie lack imagination creativity and meaning. the good thing is there was a lot of blood and gore but i guess when you saw the origional lost boys you really have have to try hard to understand why this movie wasnt as good as that one. long story short, if you're in the mood for blood and plenty of laughs, see this movie. however you must have an open mind. but definitly do not buy it.. rent it if anything..
