Horton Hears a Who!
This film shows the strengths and weaknesses of most current animated films. The use of computers to animate films leads to stunning sets and characters. The images jump off the screen with incredible depth. The problem is that such bea...

This Looks a Bit Precarious
Brilliance, opulence, hilarity. I absolutely loved "Horton Hears A Who." I didn't expect too much when I went in to see it, but left with a great feeling of joy and happiness. Its not often when a film can make me feel like I'm capable ...

Family film, not really for the ENTIRE family....
Horton Hears a Who is a very simple family comedy, from the classic Seuss book. It is a short story, the same as The Grinch, and Cat in the Hat, and is being exploded into a full-length motion picture. Material is strained as it is stretch...

Review - Horton Hears a Who! (2008)
In 1954, Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, published a short book about an elephant who could hear voices from a speck of dust, but nobody else would believe him. The elephant stood firm and stated that an elephant's faithful, on...

Horton Hears a Who Quick Review
While it didn't blow me away, this is much better than the horrid live-action Suess movies that have come out. The voices are well-cast, the animation is smooth (including a great faux-anime insert) and it was enjoyable.

...and I don't have to hear any crying
by Carla Mcleod (Atlanta, GA USA)
First off, my baby girl loves this movie. She's just turned 1. She watches this movie, and only this movie from start to end without making a peep. Well of course she talks along with the movie a little, but no crying from her whatsoever. She is less thrilled with other children's movies and even other Dr. Seuss movies. I'm starting to think it's Jim Carrey's voice or Seth Rogen's... but either way, this movie is a great movie for children and the adults they own.

Eh
by Cecily M. Israel
It was better than I thought it was going to be, but it's still a bastardization of a classic children's book.

Great Company!
by C. Evans (Houston, Texas)
The original disk was scratched up, but when I brought it to their attention they immediately sent a replacement. Great Service! I'd definitely look to use this vendor again.

When A Kindly Elephant Hears A Faint Cry Of Help From A Floating Speck Of Dust His Attempts To Protect The Tiny Particle Cause His Neighbors To Question His Sanity In This Animated Adaptation Of Dr Seuss Classic 1954 Childrens Book Of The Same Name. Studio: Tcfhe Release Date: 12/09/2008 Starring: Voice Of Jim Carrey Voice Of Steve Carrell Run Time: 174 Minutes Rating: G
Dr. Seuss's classic 1954 book
Horton Hears a Who
has entertained generations of children and served as the inspiration for a 26-minute, 1970 television special
Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who
and the 2000 Broadway musical
Seussical: The Musical
. This 2008, full-length animated movie features the voice talents of Jim Carrey as Horton, Steve Carrell as the Mayor of Whoville, Carol Burnett as the Kangaroo, and Jesse McCartney as JoJo and promises to delight a whole new generation of children and their parents and grandparents. The technological wonders of computer animation have allowed 20th Century Fox Animation to bring to life the wacky, colorful Whoville with its minute inhabitants and the lush Jungle of Nool with its host of distinctive animals and the result is a rich, fantastical world of wonder worthy of Dr. Seuss' own imagination. All the major plot elements of Dr. Seuss' book are present, with Horton hearing the faint cry for help from a tiny dust speck atop a small clover and doing his best to protect the inhabitants of that small civilization of Whoville despite the disbelief, disdain, and persecution of his fellow animals. The feel of Dr. Seuss' original rhyming prose is partially preserved in the sparse narration by Charles Osgood that's interspersed throughout the film's dialogue and the overarching themes of staying true to one's convictions and the celebration of the power of perseverance, imagination, and kindness come through loud and clear.
Horton Hears a Who
is a fun rendering of a classic Dr. Seuss story that's sure to entertain viewers of all ages. --
