Zombie Strippers Quick Review
So awful, it's great! Zombies, strippers, zombie strippers and Robert Englund camping it up - what more could you ask for? As awful as it's title suggests but I enjoyed it anyway. Guess that says more about me than it does the movie!

Beautiful Girls Wasted
by Michael Kerjman (The Earth)
Lap-dancers are turned into zombies with mortal consequences for attending the illegal venue: the more blood-the more males like it!
This film is not my cap of tea surely.

Zombie classic
by lookscankill (Dayton, Ohio USA)
What can you say about a movie populated with truly blood-thirsty zombies, strippers that turn into zombies and one of them is Jenna Jameson? Don't expect a lot of sparkling dialog but do expect lots of innovative ways to kill zombies !
Certainly not a movie for the kids, the squeamish or the prudish this film is not quite on par with "Planet Terror" but it was almost as much fun as watching Rose McGowan splattering zombies with her M-16/Grenade launching artifical leg. Overall I was quite surprised, the special effects were top notch "Zombie-Rama" quality.
So if you are a fan of camp, 70's style, exploitation, blood and guts fests with the obligatory gratuitous nudity (and who isn't LOL) you won't be disappointed. The take off on the ping pong ball scene from "The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert" alone makes this disc worth the price of admission.

Please!!!
by Edmond De Jesus (Bronx N.Y.)
I saw it once and maybe will not see it again... I have it because I collect zombie movies, but this one I really didn't need, you shouldn't need it either.

The allure of the night life
by Edmonson (Canada)
I couldn't resist this one. I kept looking at it's cover when I visited the local store, and finally I took the plunge. And yes, it's a hoot to watch. I always thought Rob Zombie might make films along these lines. It's campy, sexy, funny, and frightening in a fun way. I was also pleasantly surprised with the sophistication of the make-up and direction of the film by Jay Lee, not to mention the wonderful attention to lighting and color. If you haven't yet watched this movie then definitely pick it up to watch on Halloween. It's the perfect trick or treat film.

This is not your typical Zombie movie
by David W. Francis (Southaven, MS)
I can remember when I read about Zombie Strippers. First off this isn't your typical Zombie movie. You'll understand that when I give my review. So without any further hesitation here it is.
Zombie Strippers:
On the surface Zombie Strippers seems like your typical Zombie movies. There is a little twist at the end that ties it together but I won't be posting any spoilers to let the viewer decide for themselves. The basic story is a Government agency employs a skilled group of Mercs who are trying control a Zombie virus which is active in the X chromosome and is pure among women, but around men it makes them ravaging lunatics. The movie pokes fun at both men, and women in this instance but doesn't stay around too long, instead moving forth to the conflict. The virus spreads to "Rhinos" where some very interesting things erupt. Including a Jenna Jameson shot involving golf balls, and cue balls. This is definitely not a zombie movie for your girlfriend. If anything its to be watched with a group of your buddies during Poker night.
The effects are spot on and a few of them even had me cringing. You've got more topless action than you can poke a stick at including one full nude scene, that quips a reaction you wouldn't expect.
Robert Englund is gold as the sleazy club owner. Jenna Jameson, and Roxi are gold in their parts. The zombies talk, and are given a personality, all while the consequences of greed, and government intrusion are explored.
Some people may not like this because the social tones are not what they'd expect, and the budget doesn't work for them. They nit pick the acting in it. But I enjoyed the movie. It's fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously. The story can be a bit predictable, but it was a nice diversion from everything else you've seen. Ortiz has a bit part. But all in all you should enjoy this movie. If you don't like strippers, and nudity you won't like this. If you like all the elements mixed for something different than you will.
This is a zombie movie with comedy elements.
Zombie Strippers (Unrated Special Edition) Summary
Dvd
Get yourself a snappy title and a couple of marquee names (however disreputable) and you might just snag your no-budget movie a national release--as
Zombie Strippers
colorfully proves. The names in question belong to porn star Jenna Jameson and Freddie Krueger himself, Robert Englund, both of whom look quite comfortable in this sleazy milieu. As the title suggests (well, "suggests" might be a mild word), there has been an outbreak of the undead in a strip club, with strippers actually improving their onstage antics after they've become zombies. (Given the number of implants on display, it's a wonder the zombies didn't keel over from silicone poisoning.) Englund is the proprietor of the place, Jameson is a star dancer, and a couple of actresses in the "nice girl" roles don't have to take their tops off, although almost everybody else does. Writer-director Jay Lee fills the movie with political gags and a bunch of philosophy references (Jameson reads Nietzsche, the locale is Sartre, Nebraska), all of which play like a lame attempt to distinguish his movie as something other than a puerile horror-comedy. Only thing is, when you try to disguise the fact that you've made a puerile horror-comedy, it kind of takes the oomph out of both the horror and the comedy. The political jibes are about as feeble as those in
Southland Tales
, but at least
Zombie Strippers
is shorter. Shot on video, it looks atrocious, but perhaps that doesn't matter very much.
