I will admit disk 1 was not very good except for Fractal Universe. But disk 2 is amazing. Tuvan and Sivan gets you started with great energy with catchy melodies. Rosaries is very relaxing and yes Aly and Fila are my favorite uplifting trace musicans. I'm not big into vocals but free falling is the exception. Circles - well its andy blueman mix and I think he is going to be number 1 DJ in 5 years; Listen to his remix of tuvan. Aztec is a great one as well. All right so just pick you top 10 and burn it to a cd or I pod and you wont be disappointed.

This CD doesn't get enough attention. The tracks sound great and are all classics from early 2009. It is a must buy for all Armin Van Buuren fans or even trance music fans for that matter. If you have been tuned into Armin's State of Trance, you are bound to find many familiar and beautiful songs.

I'm not really sure why everyone is bashing this album! Maybe they are all wannabe DJ's that have something to pout about because they can't throw together a mix like this. The first CD On the Beach is such a great mix! Great to drive too or if your hanging out on the beach! The second CD In the Club is a little more hyphie and really slams some good tracks home. The only complaint I would have is that the tracks are broken up and they don't flow together unless you listen to the continuous mix - for future reference... this should never ever be done. Nobody wants to listen through 20min of stuff so they can hear their favorite song. It's a lot easier when you can select your track. Other than that.... this CD will blow your doors off.

This ASOT is getting trashed! I'm not really sure why. ASOT 2009 is much better than ASOT 2006 and 2007. This one is right on par with ASOT 2008, but definitely not as good as ASOT 2004 or his best 2005. Disc two is the better of the two which normally seems to be the case with Armin. I was expecting these two CDs to be just one track like I have seen many complaining about, but the two CDs I received divided the tracks up just right. Possibly some earlier pressings of the CDs maybe?

If you guys want a mind-blowing Trace series...definitely get into Armada's (Armin's label) "Trance World." The last set by Agnelli & Nelson is brilliant! All of them have been awesome with "Trance World" 4, 7 & 3 being the best.

Back to ASOT 2009. I liked this set much more than many have it looks like. Onto A State of Trance 2010!

1/5 Most boring disc I have heard form Armin in 6 years.

I bought this disc two weeks ago in the Netherlands. we listened to it twice. It was the most boring disc I have heard from Armin in the State of Trance series since I started buying them in 2005

Disc one doesn't warm up until the third to last track on the disc.

Don't waste your money on this disc. Buy something else.

It was so uninspiring I left it a a gas station on pump hoping someone else would get some pleasure out of finding it for free.
