Great action movie with less blood than expected
"Blade" (Wesley Snipes), the part-vampire determined to rid this world of the threat of the blood-suckers, is back. This time, he must deal with not only vampires, but "Familiars," humans promised immortality by a vampire in exchange for a...

Blade: Trinity Quick Review
A disappointing end to an otherwise fun trilogy. This one felt way too much like a live-action comic than the other two films in the series. It could have been worse, but after watching the first two, it could have been a whole lot better.

Blade: Trinity Quick Review
It's a great cap to the best vampire series ever.

Blade: Trinity Quick Review
I watched this right after I watched 2. It was a little more campy but the plot was more fun and Ryan Reynolds made it enjoyable to watch. Over all much better then 2 but still not as good as 1.

Blade: Trinity Quick Review
Not as good as the first two Blades. The "bad guys" were right out of a Marvel comic book with their comedy and villainous ways which made this movie a bit on the lame side. Don't waste your time on this movie unless you love Wesley Snipes.

Dracula's return...
by Edmonson (Canada)
In this, the third installment of "Blade", we have the a threesome battling the vampires, Blade (Wesley Snipes), Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds), and Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel). Blade is based on the Marvel comic book. This is a fine action film which reintroduces Dracula who was evidently entombed in a pyramid in Syria. Dracula (Dominic Purcell), though, is portrayed in this film unlike any Dracula we have seen in the past. When not in his human form he appears like the alien Predator. Everything leads up to the confrontation between Blade and this version of Dracula. Given all of the action in this film there isn't really much suspense. After recently watching films like "Basic Instinct", or "Seven", one realizes that what this film is perhaps missing is some mystery. The dark, brooding atmosphere is great, but we rarely feel any real tension, since there is little actual suspense, or expectation about what might or might not happen, and most of the characters themselves are largely two dimensional. Blade seems oddly distant for the duration of the film, but I did enjoy the Danica Talos character, who is portrayed in a wonderfully campy manner by Parker Posey.
One of my favourite scenes though is when Dracula/Drake enters a gothic gift shop that is full of Dracula paraphernalia, toys, garmets, et cetera. It is a witty statement about the commercialization of an iconic figure. I was also pleasantly surprised by the image quality of the film. This is a well produced and photographed movie that looks very good. All in all there was enough here to keep me interested throughout the film. So if one likes action for action sake, then this film definitely fits the bill, even if the scenes are sometimes choppy in the extended version.

underated...
by Keisha Collins
Marvel Comics didnt support this series like the others. matter of fact, Stan Lee didnt have the decency to appear in any of the movies, yet Wesley Snipes still created a Blade that no one else couldve pulled off. and this particular movie had the comedic Ryan Reynolds in it with his incredible one-liners. i rated this a 5 star because despite all the odds Blade still did it!

Blade Trinity... All right Marvel; No more movies I mean it.
by Julian Kennedy (St Pete Florida)
Blade Trinity: 1/10: Press reports at the time of Blade: Trinity's release claimed that star Wesley Snipes went off the deep end and tried to kill the director David S. Goyer. Lord knows he could have gotten away with it. Show the jury this movie and let the acquittals fly.
After two better than we deserved films the third Blade is a mess. For one thing the casting director is insane. The good guys consist of Snipes, Gabby Hayes (Kris Kristofferson), Elektra (Jessica Biel), Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds), a retarded guy, a blind woman and Newt from Aliens.
The good guys have a "club" called the Nightstalkers. (What no Darren McGavin). Biel fights with an overtly plugged iPod playing horrible techno. (I would think being able to hear would be important in hand-to-hand combat) Reynolds's character spouts off endless one liners (most of them remarkably lame) and is saddled with the name Hannibal King. (Also needless to say remarkably lame) and fights with a light saber bow. (Please see above).
Speaking of lame we have the bad guys. We have wrestler triple H (who cannot act), Parker Posey (who cannot speak with the fangs in her mouth) and best of all Dracula (Who calls himself Drake. Thinks he is in a Highlander movie. He is also a pacifist piece of Euro trash that looks like he fell of a Harlequin romance book cover. And is easily the least convincing screen Dracula I have ever scene (I'm including both George Hamilton and Mel Brooks in this equation).
The script is awful (even if you remove Reynolds's one-liners), the film was edited in a Cuisinart, the continuity was done by the blind girl, and the plot consists of bad guys finding good guys headquarters, then good guys finding bad guys headquarters.
If your still not convinced a contribution to Mr. Snipes potential legal defense fund is in order let me remind you. Parker Posey is the head vampire and has a climatic battle with Van Wilder. You can make the check out to cash.

Good movie for good vamp kicks bad vamp butt!

Good movie for special "bloody" special effects. If you like Wesley Snipes and killing vampires this is a good movie for you.

Blade: Trinity [Blu-ray] Summary
Even skeptical fans of the
Blade
franchise will enjoy sinking their teeth into
Blade: Trinity
. The law of diminishing returns is in full effect here, and the franchise is wearing out its welcome, but let's face it: any movie that features Jessica Biel as an ass-kicking vampire slayer and Parker Posey--yes, Parker Posey!--as a vamping vampire villainess can't be all bad, right? Those lovely ladies bring equal measures of relief and grief to Blade, the half-human, half-vampire once again played, with tongue more firmly in stone-cold cheek, by Wesley Snipes. With series writer David S. Goyer in the director's chair, the film is calculated for mainstream appeal, trading suspenseful horror for campy humor and choppy, nonsensical action. The franchise still offers some intriguing ideas, however, including Drake (Dominic Purcell), the original vampire, whose blood contains the secret that could destroy all blood-suckers in a plot that incorporates a sinister "blood farm" where humans are held--and drained--in suspended animation. And Biel's wise-cracking sidekick (Ryan Reynolds) in her cadre of "Nightstalkers" provides comic relief in a series that's grown increasingly dour. All of which makes
Blade: Trinity
a love-it-or-hate-it sequel... supposedly the last in a trilogy, but the ending suggests otherwise.
