Not So Bad
I thought this movie looked like hell from the trailer. Then when it became a blockbuster I got a little mad. Despite all of that I still rented the blu ray version of it one day at the video store cause nothing else was in. I'm actually g...

Peanut Blart and Jelly Sandwich
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with "Paul Blart." I went in not expecting much but a silly comedy for kids and families, but what I got was one of the funniest movies I had seen that year. I honestly believe that Kevin Jam...

Kevin James...action star?
I didn't expect anything great and that's what I got. If you're looking to just sit back, relax, laugh at silly crap, then this movie is for you. I'll admit it's not a good movie, but I'll also admit that I laughed several times, whether ...

Not Kevin James' Best.
I wanted some laughs, so I rented this for a buck from the Redbox in front of the local Walgreens. It was worth that $1 and not much more. I have always liked Kevin James. I think King of Queens is hilarious.. But he couldn't carry this mo...

Paul Blart: Mall Cop Quick Review
Perfect popcorn comedy - such little value, yet highly enjoyable at the time. Yes, the jokes are pretty lame, but it has enough sweetness and heart to make it worthwhile. A nice family film, just don't expect too much from it.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop Quick Review
very silly movie, not always funny though. Kevin James was good, but you can watch him be funny on tv for free. I would wait to rent.

What a commercial for Segway scooters!
by Jim Gateley (Sunnyvale, CA)
3 of 5 stars for the shopping mall police story Paul Blart Mall Cop. Another way to look at this comedy movie is a 1.5 hour commercial for Segway scooter. OK, Kevin James plays Paul Blart Mall Cop. Of course, Paul has a crush on a girl working in the mall. Blart is shown to be training a new hire who later is part of a group who invade the Mall taking hostages and robbing the bank. With the parking lot full of SWAT teams, it is Blart to the rescue of the girl and saving the mall. This is a cutely dumb movie. A bit funny. Easy on the brain and worth the time to watch it.

Good hilarious famliy movie
by Robbie (NY)
IF YOU LOVE KEVIN JAMES IN KING OF QUEENS, YOU WOULD LOVE THIS! MY REVIEW IS 5 STARS BECAUSE IT IS GOOD CLEAN FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT AND THE KIDS WOULD LOVE IT. IT IS FUNNY, HEART WARMING AND GREAT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH!

Funny, but nothing really special
by B Man (NewYork, NY USA)
I probably am going to rate this movie higher than it's worth because I have worked with many security guards in the past ten years as well as a stint as one myself so I can see the humor in the jokes of this movie, but for others I can't really say, and there was something annoying about that fake mustache on Kevin James I couldn't stop staring at it in half the scenes. Anyway I'm going to give this movie a 2 out of 5 I did get a few good laughs out of it so if your into comedy I'd say give it a rental probably not worth a buy.

Paul Puke
by Douglas N. Ritz (upstate,NY)
Easily one of the worst movies that I have ever had the misfortune to view.I stayed in the theater til the end, because I thought it had to get better. It never did.If I was Kevin James,I would go screaming into the night over what a pile of trash this movie is.I only wrote this review to warn people away from it.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop [Blu-ray] Summary
In Columbia Pictures' Comedy
paul Blart: Mall Cop
, Kevin James Stars As The Title Character, A Single, Suburban Dad, Trying To Make Ends Meet As A Security Officer At A New Jersey Mall. Though No One Else Takes His Job Seriously, Paul Considers Himself On The Front Lines Of Safety. When A Heist Shuts Down The Megaplex, Jersey's Most Formidable Mall Cop Will Have To Become A Real Cop To Save The Day.
Attention, shoppers: Former
King of Queens
star Kevin James makes the successful leap to big screen leading man with this Die Hard meets Home Alone slapstick comedy produced by Adam Sandler. In his most empathetic role since his endearing scene-stealing turn in Hitch, James (who also co-wrote the script) stars as biggest loser Paul Blart, a 10-year veteran of the West Orange, New Jersey shopping mall, where he gets no respect from taunting kids who pelt him with ball pit orbs, or a senior who brazenly violates Blart's strictly enforced speed limit in his motorized wheelchair. The film is slow to get rolling as it lays on the pathos as thick as the peanut butter the lonely, overweight and socially awkward Blart spreads on his pies ("Food fills the cracks in he heart," he tells his mother). But then, a band of cycling, skateboarding thieves presumably recruited from the X games take over the mall on so-called Black Friday, the busiest holiday season shopping day. Blart is "untrained, unarmed, and presents a huge target," but, like a plus-size John McClane on a Segway, he is the wild card determined to stop them and rescue his unrequited crush (Jayma Mays) who has been taken hostage. James carries the film on his massive shoulders (the supporting cast is strictly discount outlet, with comedian Adam Ferrara as a sympathetic cop and Bobby Cannavale from
Will & Grace
and
Third Watch
as a bullying SWAT team leader the most familiar faces). He proves himself to be an impressively agile physical comedian and he's game for every body slam, pratfall, and tumble. Rated PG for mild violence, a few profanities, and a couple of gross-out gags,
Paul Blart: Mall Cop
is less crude than previous Sandler productions, more
The Benchwarmers
than
Deuce Bigalow
.
