They're Great!!!
by Debbie Citrone (White Plains, New York USA)
I almost didn't get this because of some of the negative reviews I'd read--but I am so glad I did. The cutting IS herky-jerky but that takes about 3 seconds to get used to--the thing is--this band is great to watch and they are terrific live. If you've ever seen them live--relive it with this DVD, if you haven't seen them yet--prepare by watching it. Good sound, great songs.

Freakin Sweet!
by E. Rattenbury (Michigan)
There is really only one major reason to buy this DVD: Snow Patrol is better Live. A quiet "soft-rock" band on c.d., Snow Patrol is a rock juggernaut on stage. While the editing is typical of the MTV generation, I've seen worse... much worse. A great show and a great buy!

Mediocre
by Moxley
Although I'm a huge fan of Snow Patrol's most recent album, Final Straw, I was incredibly disappointed with this DVD. I'll agree with the previous reviewers that the editing is too choppy and can be annoying, and the filming style does little to enhance their performance. However, the most disturbing aspect of this DVD lies in the vocals and sound quality. The first half of the set sounds like a warm up for the lead singer, where he is noticably off key most of the time. While I attempted to simply ignore the flaws of the DVD, both the backup and lead vocals are too horrendous to ignore. Perhaps if the band members were on fewer drugs they could hear how off they sound.
On the positive side, Snow Patrol is incredibly talented and their passion and creativity manages to shine through.
Overall, not worth the money for the weak extra features and mediocre performance.

Great live music DVD...video is nauseating
by M. Mitchell (Rochester Hills, MI USA)
Great band that delivers a great live show. I read the reviews and I agree with the people that didn't think much of the million video clips but I would recommend this DVD dispite that. It costs about the same as a CD anyway and you still get to see the band having fun playing to a really good crowd in a great setting. In my opinion, a live DVD of a favorite band adds to the entertainment value over a CD by being able to watch the talent of the musicians playing their instruments and seeing how it all comes together. This DVD misses a lot of that because of the quick clips but it is still great to put in for a party. This band rocks overall and in the long run...it's all about the music.

dr. jekyll is wresting hyde for my pride
by Johnny Bradford (Manteca, CA United States)
don't be put off by 'mr. one star', this is a great music dvd. the sound is as good as you'd expect for a true live outdoor concert - pounding drums from johnny, complimenting guitar riffs, driving bass lines and some nice keys. as for the quick camera cuts, it's all about the music, not how cute they look, right? they blast through all the recent big hits and some excellent older stuff ('an olive grove...' a personal favorite). they even employ an orchestra for some beautiful strings bringing a fullness to the songs. the band is in top form, really enjoying the show with gary having a laugh throughout.
these ulster boys are on great form in the various video diaries from the usa and japan tours, plus there's some great footage of a trip home to belfast. (anyone know how to get the full 4film documentary?)
overall, an excellent concert and superb extras, well worth buying. good stuff.
