    Holst: The Planets DVD Summary Composer Gustav Holst wrote his symphony The Planets in a series of acts, each act representative of a planet and musically based on the astrological signs associated with that planet.

    In this release, filmmaker Rhodri Huw weaves together numerous disparate, metaphoric images into a kaleidoscope of visuals, which draw out the symbology Holst attributed to each celestial body, one planet at a time.
