Aníbal aprendió el oficio de detective privado por correspondencia. De regreso a su pueblo busca poner a prueba sus conocimientos. Para ello convence a su tío para formar parte de su agencia de detectives. Juntos visitarán al jefe de la policía del pueblo para que les asigne un caso y éste les asignará la tarea de localizar un cachorro llamado Cachito .
