Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Vol. 2 - Seeds of Revolution Summary Without The Soul, The Heart Will Die

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Is A Classic Hero Epic Of Love And Sacrifice…

Bravery And Heroism Unabashed - The Steadfast Standard Of Syaoran, Kuogane, Fai And Sakura. These Four Must Travel Through Dimensions Unknown On Their Quest To Reunite The Princess With Her Memory. As Each New World Offers Up New Adverntures, Trouble Has Found Them In This One Even Before They Arrive...delivered Into A Land Of Suffering Under Evil Rule. With The Help Of A Young Orphaned Rebel, The Noble Crew Must Unite A Weary Populace To Overthrow The Cruel Feudal Lord And His Brutal Son. The Uprising Will Prove Fierce And The Magic Astounding....but Victory Must Be Achieved Before The Quest Can Continue.

As Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle continues, Syaoran's quest to regain the magic feathers of Sakura's memories grows more perilous. After demonstrating the power of his spirit as embodied in his kudan, a wolf-like guardian spirit reminiscent of the Patronus protectors in the Harry Potter books, Syaoran shifts to another parallel world with his companions. The Land of Nayutaya is oppressed by Tambal, an arrogant ex-magician whose power derives from one of the enchanted feathers. To break through the magic barrier surrounding Tambal's castle, the travelers must invoke the aid of Yuko the Dimensional Witch. Once they penetrate the fortress walls, Kurogane and Fay fight the sorceress Kiishimu and her acid-filled globules, while Syaoran tackles Tambal's thuggish son. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle clearly had a much largely budget than the related Cardcaptor Sakura. While the filmmakers maintain the look of the original manga by four-woman studio Clamp, the visuals are fresh and imaginative. The monstrous kudan Syaoran battles in episode 6 resembles a giant Chinese doll, rather than a standard anime ogre. (Rated TV PG, suitable for ages 10 and older: violence) --Charles Solomon
