Outo country!
by Christian Anime Girl (California)
Our heroes solve the mystery of the vanishing children in the country of Jade, and retrieve Sakura's feather! She was able to see the ghost of the golden haired princess, and as she began to ascend, she warned Sakura that somebody is watching them.
This disc is where they enter Outo Country, which is my favorite world so far! It has alot of action, and also, the most humor moments! I especially enjoyed the scene when it was revealed what nicknames Fay gave everyone. Oh man, I loved Kurogane's reaction!
One of my favorite volumes yet, you'll love it, I'm sure!

Nice mix. Good family series
by JK
We've seen about 2/3 of the series as a family. It's enjoyed by both the parents and children, enough that we're buying the DVDs as they come out.
This is billed as a shojo (teen girl's) series, but it's much more mature story telling that the typical sugar-overloaded brain-dead cheap-gag shojo. It's more an action series with a strong noble romantic tone.
Two of us are learning Japanese, and found it nice that we can choose language and subtitle on/off independently. (We're not forced to watch subtitles with the Japanese language track.)
As happens frequently, the English voice acting is not as strong (IMHO) as the Japanese actors. The video and animation quality is good, the sound above average. The supporting music is good, with two astonishingly superb songs introduced somewhere around the 18-20th episodes.
Overall the material is above average and the the DVD production's almost flawless. I have no serious gripes about the product so far.

Good Anime
by Ellen (North Carolina)
I love this story. Great action and a bit of romance. Tsubasa has all my favorite voice actors too!!
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Vol. 4 - Between Death and Danger Summary
Mysteries Swirl Like A Sandstorm Around The Enigmatic Ruins Of Sakura’s Homeland – A Site Of Unknown Power, Clearly Coveted By Forces Both Dark And Light, Evil And Right. Syaoran And His Noble Friends, Kurogane And Fai, Are Observed From On High. Destiny’s Finger Might Not Be The Only Force Pushing Them Through Their Hunt. From World To World, A Hero’s Adventure Unfolds Across The Dimensions, Their Path Unmarked Yet Well Defined. Lands Of Legend And History, Contests Of Magical Strength, Friendly Days And Hostile Nights… Syaoran Must Stay Constant Or All Is Lost. Feather’s Float Down From The Stars, Torn Asunder If Only To Prove The Power Of Love.
After solving the 300-year-old mystery surrounding the Princess Emeraude and a group of missing children, the heroes of
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
leave the Country of Jade to continue the search for the enchanted feathers of Sakura's memory. Thus far, Syaoran and his friends have only had to contend with minor villains and challengers to obtain the magical feathers. As the first season of
Tsubasa
builds to its conclusion, the filmmakers suggest more serious threats are involved. Emeraude cautions, "Someone is always watching you," and an unnamed figure who wants the memory feather is doing just that. Could he also be linked to the mysterious warriors and sand storms that King Touya and Yukito are battling back in the Kingdom of Clow? The combination of mystery, enchantment, romance, and self-sacrifice make
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
a noteworthy
shojo
(girl's) series. (Rated TV PG, suitable for ages 10 and older: violence)
