This DVD was great. The producer's provide a great look into the life that is "Rhapsody." Concert footage is great, as is every song the band has ever recorded. Great addition to any fan's collection

Outstanding DVD. They put on a great concert. Extra features really let you know what they are all about. Highly recomended.

I am possibly the biggest Rhapsody fan left of the big pond, but this just is not a good prodct.

On this DVD you have about the same songs as on the Live in Canada audio CDs, except that every song is interrupted by most annoying interview bits and footage of fans making stupid comments. There's no way to enjoy this "concert" this way, not to mention it's not one show. The interviews itself are boring and meaningless, they just rave about the fans (and the fans about them), they do not give insights into what they are trying to do, how they come up with their music etc. Worst of all, the titel and chapter structure is such that you cannot easily skip the annoying blah-blah and just switch between the titles.

I am also convinced that the audio is heavily dubbed, that means individual instruments re-recorded in a studio. It doesn't sound live at all. I haven't checked yet but the music tracks might actually be identical to the Live in Canada CD.

There are two audio bonus tracks which might not have been released elsewhere. Sorry this DVD isn't worth my time to check, but they are titled "Age of the Red Moon" and "Power of Thy Sword".

I will now go and give positive reviews on Rhapsody's CDs. As I said, I really like this band, I own all CDs and I recommend them highly. This DVD just isn't it.

It should be noted that I am a huge Rhapsody (of Fire) fan and that no DVD release this year excited me more than this one.

The format of the DVD is such that both discs are essentially "behind the scenes" documentaries. The difference being that the first disc has a handful of live songs thrown in (eight I believe) where as the second one is entirely extra footage and documentary segments.

For a first commercial DVD release, it is rather disappointing to not have a complete set list that substantiates a full 90 minute concert. I can't imagine who made the decision to put the priority on self indulgent interviews and footage from shooting music videos, but they should be fired (or seriously rethink their position). I know I am not the only Rhapsody fan clambering for a complete live concert DVD experience (see Blind Guardian, Kamelot, and Nightwish for examples). Maybe one day we'll all get our wish.

Otherwise, the songs that are included are played well and all technical aspects of the DVD seem adequate.

Overall this DVD was very enjoyable. Since it's the only Rhapsody DVD available I can't complain too much but what really irks me is that I was hoping it would contain a complete concert. As a fan in the USA who has not had the chance to see Rhapsody live I was looking forward to the complete concert experience. The behind the scenes footage is interesting but I would've preferred it to have been treated as bonus footage accompanying a concert performance.
It's obvious this DVD was influenced a lot by label mate, Joey DeMaio of Manowar fame. The format is very similar to the Manowar DVD's. That's not necessarily a bad thing if there were other DVD's to choose from but alas I believe I'll have to keep waiting to see the real thing. I may have to schedule a European vacation soon if I can't satisfy my live Rhapsody cravings here in the States.
