I love Rozz!
by B. Smedley (USA)
I recently received Shadow Play Live and the Christian Death Live DVDs. I had never seen Rozz live before so I was willing to pay almost any price. From a historical perspective, the Shadow Play DVD can be a valuable collection to your Rozz library, but for the discernable critic, it has little other value other than The Man is on it. As others before me have stated, everything about this DVD is sub-standard. Musicianship, picture clarity, sound quality, set design, and yes performance, suck. The Christian Death DVD is the total reverse. The musicianship and everything else, even Rozz's performance is 100% better. I viewed Shadow Play Live once and I have it up for resale and this is coming from someone who owns an extensive Rozz catalog. I'm listening to Live in Berlin right now! Anyway, may 2 cents.

Nice for the collection
by somegothswanderbymistake
Very short DVD.
Crappy Menu.
Could be alot better, but this is what we get.
There are other places on the 'Net that have interviews from this Era.
In fact, the interview this has makes it worth getting!
The concert footage is great.
It just isn't that long or full of lots and lots of features.
Another video like this would greatly help to "complete"
the Shadow Project experience.
If your a big fan like me, I'm surprised if you don't already have it.
I would highly recommend it to a new fan. Get it while you can.

horrible quality, but great find
by Jamie Hughes
I would imagine some people would complain about this dvd to no end. And I myself would if say about the same....it were supposed to by a big production. But it's not. Yes, this dvd is probably the worst quality I have in my collection. You can tell it was probably recorded straight from an older vhs. But I hope that the thought of a bad qual. recording will not turn people away. Shadow Project has been and always will be one of the crowning acheivments of Rozz Williams life, one of the last great artists that we might see for a while. So, despite the quality be happy that this is even out there for sale and keep the complaining to a minimal.....becauses we have to think, what if this kind of thing were not available. Sorry for the tiraid, but I get tired of seeing people complaining about the look and recording on a dvd all the while ignoring that it is RARE and UNDERGROUND material. Get it......
And Then There Was Death Summary
Shadow Project is perhaps the most prolific of Rozz Williams' post-Christian Death era music, and it most closely resembles the work that made him a goth icon. Incorporating punk, glam, and experimental influences and centered around Williams and his wif
