It's always interesting to think about if things had been different and destiny could be altered and this is the theme and idea of Ventura Pons's "To Die (Or Not)". Made up of eight vignettes, each about seven minutes long, the film deals with people dying from different causes--an overdose, choking, etc and each of these is followed by a 30 minute "what if" things had been different. It just seems, however, that the deaths take forever and since you catch on early that each of these people will die, things are quite tedious. This does not make this a bad movie; it is just that a little more finesse could have made this an excellent film.
There are some wonderful surprises here and there is a twist that changes everything. There is also a testament to religious faith that I found to be uplifting. We do get an interrelationship between the characters in the conclusion and this ties everything together but the story that frames the entire film is not very convincing. However, I recommend this film as an experience that will not be easily forgotten.

Worth watching. I loved the transition from the first to the second half of the film. Good acting.
